Well, they doubted their abilities at first. They wondered if they could pull it off. After all, they’re a young group. Some of them have only been at this a year or so now (as the leaders). But, in the end, they did their best (I’ve heard that somewhere before), and their best was GREAT!
Johns Creek Pack 884, along with helpers from around the great Lonesome Pine District pulled off a fantastic Cub Scout Fall Family Campout. I was there, sans-voice, and it was a really great time. Despite parking issues, uncooperative weather (is it really a campout if it doesn’t rain?), and some tight quarters, this year’s event was a ton of fun!

We had a terrific time at the District Cub Scout Campout last weekend! 17 boys attended the event - including parents and siblings, our grand total was 45 people in all! The boys participated in many events including; b.b. gun, archery, sling shot, and inflatables. Some boys even got in a little fishing before they went home! Thank you so much to everyone that donated food for the event - I can’t wait till next year!
