Operation Clean Sweep

It is getting that time of year again. Our anual Operation Clean Sweep will be held on March 21st 2009. The event will be at Dewey Lake in the old golf corse same as last year. As you all know Dewey Lake Staff allways will do anything possable to support scouting. As usual they are asking All Scouts to help them in the anual clean up of the lake area and because of cut backs in a lot of programs the volenteer numbers have been droping for years. Last year the Scouting program was the largest group in attendance we hand around 230 volenteers atteding and cleaning last year. We are hoping to get around 300 volanteers this year and with Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and all the dedicated parents and familey i see no reason why we cant meet or even beat that goal. I am asking all Cub and Scout Masters to please talk with parents and get to me the names and shirt sizes of all people who will be pertisipating in thes event by the Feb. round table at the latest please this is important because i like to make sure all scout volenteers get a clean sweep t shirt. As allways there will be lunch and lots of door prizes. For more information you can call me at 606-358-0061 or email me at musichi@hotmail.com once again thanks for all you do to keep Scouting going
