Scouting serves young men and women in every part of the country through more than 300 local council service centers. Each council helps chartered organizations in its geographic area to effectively use the Scouting program and to expand the use of the program to other community groups.
The Blue Grass Council, headquartered in Lexington, serves 55 counties throughout Central, Eastern, and Northern Kentucky. The council is made up of 6 districts - Elkhorn, Shawnee, Mt. Laurel, Lake Cumberland, Lonesome Pine, and Palisades. Our districts serve nearly 12,000 youth in 400 units annually.
